Yoga Instructor, Laughter Yoga Leader

Bernadette McGree was inducted into the yoga community in the US. She has been most strongly influenced by John Friend, founder of Anusara Yoga and Madan Kataria MD, founder of Laughter Yoga.
Bernadette has taught yoga in a variety of contexts in the US and Australia.  Her experience also includes demonstrating yoga in instructor DVD’s and fitness conventions in both countries. She is currently living and presenting in Australia.
One of Bernadette’s strengths is her ability to warmly connect with participants. She creates a safe environment so that the group members feel confident and willing to take risks.  She encourages them to explore the possibilities within, learn more about themselves and grow. Bernadette also focuses on creating a fun and humourous environment where she uses laughter to relax and connect people, inspiring them to live life from the heart.


Heart-Opening Hatha Yoga – Open to Something New (Body & Mind)

This heart-opening yoga session will surprise both the regular student and novice alike. We will have a lot of fun exploring a variety of typical and some not-so typical poses. Come with a sense of adventure, humour and fun.  Everybody is welcome.  No experience necessary.

Laughter Yoga – Laughter is the Best Medicine (Body & Mind) Personal Trainers are welcome

Hasya Yoga or Laughter Yoga encourages an “inner spirit of laughter”.  Research has shown that laughter reduces stress, depression and anger as well as being beneficial in the fight against diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis and cancer.
As a form of fitness, Laughter Yoga is extremely efficient “One minute of mirthful laugher is equivalent to a 10 minute cardiac workout on a rowing machine.”
The session will conclude with participants commenting on their experience with each other.

Relaxation and Meditation – Find Deep Peace (Body & Mind) Personal Trainers are welcome

In this session we will begin with a deep relaxation called Yoga Nidra. Participants will then come into a seated meditation which uses visualization, voice and touch to keep the mind focused. Each member should experience a wonderful sense of peace.
