International Iyengar & Ashtanga Yoga Master
Michel B has been practising yoga since 1978, and has been teaching yoga since 1983. Until 1993, he was practising Iyengar yoga and was a direct student of BKS Iyengar. He has been in Pune, India, to study under Mr. Iyengar several times. Michel has been practising Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga since 1993, and studied directly under Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India, during several different trips. Michel has taught yoga in different parts of the world including the United States, Austria, England, France and Australia. His teaching philosophy is to provide students with clear and sensitive guidance, listening to the needs of the body without pushing or straining, thus making space for their own understanding. Ultimately Michel encourages everyone to take the practice seriously, but not themselves. Michel is a senior Yoga Teacher, "the teacher of teachers" has trained hundreds of instructors in 10 different countries and is accredited by IYTA (International Yoga Teacher Association) and Yoga Alliance at the 500-hour level trainer level (highest possible).

RELAX AND BE BENDY (Body & Mind)
Michel will present a safe way to the practice of backbends, which involves intelligent preparation, as well as thorough counter-posing; working toward an apex, then winding down. The development of sufficient overall strength is required, as is flexibility of certain key areas.
Lots of people have a fear of back bend. However, in this session Michel will help you enjoy and safely deepen your backbends with intelligent sequencing and creative pose variations in combination with thorough counter-posing make this a superb practice. You’ll finish feeling relaxed and bendy and more importantly free of pain and above all having FUN!

POWER UP YOUR YOGA(Body & Mind) Personal Trainers are welcome
If you still think of yoga as a relaxing, "stretchy-feely" discipline, you might want to consider joining this workshop and realize what an incredible workout it can be.
Michel will concentrate on ARMS STRENTHGING POSES and will introduce deep, energizing breaths combined with fluid movement and challenging poses train your heart and lungs, light up your muscles and make you feel amazing.
In this session Michel will make you move smoothly from one pose to the next (this progression, or flow, of poses is known as a vinyasa), rather than holding each position and because you move fluidly from one pose to the next you elevate your heart rate, improving your cardiovascular fitness. At the same time, you increase flexibility and balance.
So get out of your shell and onto your yoga mat and experience the power of yoga.
B1-BM2(E/C)│May 2nd (Sunday)│9:00-10:30
HIPS & ARMS BALANCING (Body & Mind) Personal Trainers are welcome
Michel will be presenting a Vinyasa hips sequence to improve the flexibility and openness of the hips and then will move into arms balancing.
In fact, working with restrictions in the hips can be a great lesson in surrender, acceptance, and release.
He believes the openness of the hips will have a tremendous effect on how a practitioner will perform his/her poses, because limitation of the hips will limit a practitioner in other poses such as arms balancing.
This session will work on every facet of the physical body, building up stamina, strength, toning, and flexibility as well as improving the mental body through concentration, awareness and simply relax.
